We have some very old Canadian Pennies, is it ok to sell it to the Canadian heritage museum and get the money with it and use it sometimes they put that penny in auction for bidding(is bidding haram)?

In principle if the coins are legally still in circulation then you may only exchange them for their face value. Once the currency goes out of circulation, then it ceases to be a currency and becomes a commodity. Once it becomes a commodity then it may be traded in value other than that which it represented. This is regardless if these coins are still categorized as legal tender according to the government.
Canadian Pennies are no longer in circulation since 2012. While they are still a legal tender, such that banks will still accepted them for their face value, they are no longer a means of trade. Such coins become akin to any other metal coins.
Hence such pennies may be sold to the museum or via auction as long as other particulars of shar’i trade are kept in check.
