Many people wishing on Friday “Jummah Mubarak”. Is this Bidha?
Bismillahi Ta’ala
Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah
Jumu’a is a Mubarak and blessed day. There is no doubt in this. Hence greeting someone Jumu’a Mubarak is inherently permissible. It is a display of one’s happiness and desire for goodness for the other.
However, if it is deemed to be Sunnah or such a significant action of religion that one starts to look down upon someone who does not wish “Jumua Mubarak”, or one starts to consider it a Musnad (established from valid chains of connectivity) to be the act of Sunnah of Rasulullah ﷺ, then it will become a Bid’ah.
As long as one does not contends it to be above, then it will be permissible (Mubah).
