If one has a cut, that is bleeding,
a) profusely
b) not profusely, the blood is not oozing out, but when one tries to wipe clean, there’s always blood on the wipe, after waiting, a good 10 mins too
Is praying in this time valid?
If one has to still pray, what could be done?
Bismillahi Ta’ala
Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah
In principle, the wudhu will invalidate as soon as the blood flows beyond its point of exit. Even if this happens every time you wipe, then too the wudhu’ will break.
If you do not have a bandage to stop the bleeding in its place, then you will need to wait out until the blood stops. If the blood does not stop until last remaining time of the Salah, then you will make wudhu’ and pray regardless.
However, if you have a bandage, you may put it on the cut and stop the bleeding. Now make wudhu’ with the bandage on, washing the whole area. You may pray your salah now.
When you open the bandage later on, you will see if the blood still comes out or not, if it does, then the wudhu will break at the time of opening the bandage. If the blood does not flow, then the wudhu will remain intact.
Lastly, in case the bleeding does not stop at all, such that you do not find any salah time entirely that you could make wudhu’ and pray, then you will be considered ma’dhur (excused) and will follow the rules of a ma’dhur, making wudhu’ for every salah time.
