Can Ishraq be performed 7 minutes after sunrise?

Bismillahi Ta’ala

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah

The time for Ishraq commences approximately 20 minutes after the sunrise. This is evident from the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ wherein he instructed that voluntary (nafl) salah be performed after the sun has risen, reaching an elevation equal to one or two spears’ length (Rumh) above the horizon. (كتاب التطوع ,Hadith 1277, Sunan Abi Dawood).

Scholars have ascertained that a “Rumh” corresponds to an angular elevation of 4.5 degrees from the horizon, which is approximately 20 minutes after sunrise. Therefore, performing Ishraq salah prior to this time would be makrooh (disliked).
