Tasted gravy from suhoor on lips while fasting

801 viewsRamadanbreaking fast fast gravy ramadan suhoor

After my Suhoor I brushed my teeth and made wudhu before the ending of Suhoor end. However, during salah time I licked my lips and tasted something salty (from gravy I ate for suhoor). Is my fast broken?

Bismillahi Ta’ala

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah,

The remnants of taste from something you may have eaten does not break the fast. Even that food which remained stuck in your teeth, which was less than a chickpea size, does not break the fast. Continue with your fast as normal.
