Is this Darood Sharif right?
Bismillahi Ta’ala
Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah
Above wordings are taken from a hadeeth of Rasulullah ﷺ in which Nabi ﷺ taught it to Sayidatuna Juwairiya rd:
Sayidatuna Juwairiya rd reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came out from (her apartment) in the morning as she was busy in observing her dawn prayer in her place of worship. He came back after Duhaa time and she was still sitting there. He ﷺ said to her:
You have been in the same seat since I left you. She said: Yes. Thereupon Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) said: I recited four words three times after I left you and if these are to be weighed against what you have recited since morning these would outweigh them and (these words) are:
“Glory be to Allah and praise is due to Him according to the number of His creation and according to the pleasure of His Self and according to the weight of His Throne and according to the ink (used in recording) words (for His Praise).” (Muslim #2726)
The above should be recited daily in the morning time (and in evening if one wishes).
However, the wordings are not suitable for durood, as it can be misconstrued. Instead one should rely upon the mustanad (authentic) wordings of durood (salaat wa salam) when have been taught to us from Rasulullah ﷺ himself.
Multiple small books are available for this. Hazrat Sheikh Zakariya rh. has his 40 Salat wa Salam booklet as well as Hazrat Maulana Islamul Haq rh. has compiled a booklet with 100 Salat wa Salaam.
