Human heart seeks Allah permission before it beats – is it true?

1.23K viewsAllah heart heartbeat

Assalam alaikum muftisahab, Is it that the human heart seeks permission from Allah before it beats. And the lungs seek permission from Allah for every breath?

Bismillahi Ta’ala

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah

It is part of our aqeedah that no actions has any inherent capacity to enact itself without enablement from Allah. Hence, Allah’s permission or approval for a new action to come about, as well as a previously enacted action to continue is all dependent on Allah’s tawfeeq (enablement).

While the premise is very simple and sound that we rely upon Allah for everything in totality, and hence every subsequent beat of the heart is also dependent on Allah. The deeper thoughts and questions that may arise from them cannot be adequately addressed in public setting. It requires one to sit in a classroom environment.

Alhamdulillah, these concepts of Tawfeeq, Qudra and Istita’ah are discussed in considerable detail in our Aqeedah course of Absolute Essentials Program [Click here for more].
