Giving interest money to non-muslim charities? e.g. Cancer research

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah.

Interest money which gets acquired needs to be returned to its source. Since that is not always possible, then it should be dispensed in avenues of welfare without any intent or implication of benefit or reward.

For this, it can be dispensed to some charity (even non muslim ones), preferably anonymous, without getting any receipt as long as there is no scope of engaging in any other unislamic assistance.
