Can I get a few authentic Ahadeeth about parents rights?
Bismillahi Ta’ala
Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah
Here are just a few ayaat and ahadeeth on the topic.
Ayaat
Sayiduna Luqman while advising his son mentions,
“We commanded man (to be good) in respect of his parents. His mother carried him (in her womb) despite weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. (We said to man,) “Be grateful to Me, and to your parents. To Me is the ultimate return.
However, if they force you to ascribe partners to Me about whom you (can) have no (source of) knowledge, then do not obey them. Remain with them in this world with due fairness, but follow the way of the one who has turned himself towards Me. Then, towards Me is your return, so I shall tell you what you had been doing.” Qur’an 31:14-15
Surah al-Israa mentions :
“Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and do good to parents. If any one of them or both of them reach old age, do not say to them: uff (a word or expression of anger or contempt) and do not scold them, and address them with respectful words,” Qur’an 17:23
Surah al-Ankaboot mentions :
“We have instructed man to do good to his parents. And if they insist upon you that you should ascribe partners to Me, then do not obey them. To Me is your return; then I shall tell you what you used to do.” Qur’an 29:8
Surah Ahqaf mentions :
“And We have enjoined upon man to do good to his parents. His mother carried him with difficulty and delivered him with difficulty. And his carrying and his weaning is (in) thirty months, until when he attains his maturity and reaches forty years, he says, “My Lord, grant me that I offer gratitude for the favour You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I do righteous deeds that You like. And set righteousness, for my sake, in my progeny. Of course, I repent to you, and truly I am one of those who submit to You.”” Qur’an 46:15
Surah Baqara mentions :
“They ask you as to what they should spend. Say: “Whatever good you spend should be for parents, kinsmen, orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; and whatever good you do, Allah is all-aware of it.”” Qur’an 2:215
Surah Ibraheem mentions the du’a for one’s parents :
“Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and all believers on the day when reckoning shall take place.” Qur’an 14:41

1. Sayidatuna Asma’ bin Abi Bakr rd narrates that
“My mother came to me while she was still a polytheist, so I asked Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), “My mother, who is ill-disposed to Islam, has come to visit me. Shall I maintain (cordial) relations with her?” He (ﷺ) replied, “Yes, maintain relations with your mother”. (Bukhari Shareef #325)
2. Abu Huraira rd reported that a person said:
“Allah’s Messenger, who amongst the people is most deserving of my good treatment? He said: Your mother, again your mother, again your mother, then your father, then your nearest relatives according to the order (of nearness).” (Muslim Shareef #2548b, Bukhari Shareef #5971)
3. Sayiduna Burayda r.a mentions that :
“A man came to Nabi ﷺ and said , “I have carried my mother on my neck for six miles in such heat that if you place a piece of meat out it would get cooked, Do you feel that I have fulfilled Shukr (gratitude) of her?
Nabi ﷺ replied saying, “perhaps you have fulfilled just a little bit of it…” (Mujam Sagheer Tibrani #255)
