Is it permissible to get my blood tested while fasting? How about giving blood donation?

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah,
It is permissible to get one’s blood tested or even donating one’s blood while fasting. However, scholars do not recommend donating blood while fasting since it may cause weakness in the body, and that may lead to the necessity of breaking the fast.
