We received a gift, which is a fabric prayer mat with my daughter’s name written (in English) on it, almost on the center of the mat. Will it be wrong to pray on it?

In general it is not recommended to have any names or pictures on the Musallaa (prayer mat). This is moreso if the name is such that may reflect some religious aspects which will now be placed on the floor.
While the validity of the salah will not be affected, there could be some level of dislike and disrespect in keeping such a prayer mat.
