Do all Shawwal six fasts have to be kept continuously one after the other?

517 viewsShawwalfast fasting shawwal fasts

Do all six fasts have to be kept continuously one after the other, or can there be gaps between them? For example, if a person were to fast on the Mondays and Thursdays of Shawwal and complete all six fasts.

Bismillahi Ta’ala

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah.

Due to Ramadhan last asharah, I have not answered many questions.

Please go through this presentation, especially the QnA. If I remember correctly we discussed a couple of these answers.

No, six fast of shawwal may be separated. One could use the masnun days of Mondays and Thursdays to keep these shawwal fasts as well.
