When praying by himself can man recite salah (fard, sunnah, nafl) with (semi) loud qirat?

Bismillahi Ta’ala

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah

There is a difference according to the type of Salah being prayed in which method of recitation is preferred for men when praying alone.

It is necessary (Wajib) to recite quietly for the ‘quiet prayers’ (Dhuhr and Asr). For the ‘loud prayers’ (Fajr, Maghreb, and Isha), a person will have the choice of reciting loud or quietly when praying alone. However, it is preferable to recite loudly, especially if he made the Adhan and Iqama.

As for any optional prayers (Sunnah or Nafl), it is Wajib to recite daytime prayers quietly, and one has a choice in nighttime prayers.

It is important to note than in all instances where there is a choice in reciting loud, a persons voice should only be as loud as they can hear themselves, or someone right next to them.
