Defining Haidh and Istihada if bleeding continued for 2 months

628 viewsGeneral (Misc)haidh istihada

Sheikh I have had a habit of 10 days bleeding (haidh) followed by 35 days of Tuhr. Since last 2 months I am constantly bleeding. What will be my Haidh and Istihada in this situation.

Bismillahi Ta’ala

Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah

Since you have a regular habit of 10 days Haidh, followed by a valid habit of 35 days tuhr, now that you are constantly bleeding, you will consider 10 days of bleeding to be haidh, and continue to count 35 days of Istihadah (dysfunctional uterine bleeding) after it.

This is despite the fact that total of 10 + 35 is more than a month. Tuhr does not have a maximum period. So once your habit for it is established at 35, you will follow it until this habit changes with other valid tuhr period. For now, continue your 10 / 35 cycle.

During Istihada you will carry yourself with all the legalities of Salah, Sawm etc.
